For small businesses
Customer questions, answered while you work.
AnswerKit reads your website and answers customer questions in a chat on your site, day or night. Every answer shows where it came from, and when a question needs you, it takes a message for your team.
Policies
Booking and cancellations
We hold your spot for 15 minutes after your start time. Changes with less than a day's notice are charged half the service price.
Need to change your appointment? Let us know at least 24 hours ahead and there is no charge.
Can I move my appointment to next week?
The chat in the corner of this page is AnswerKit, answering from its own help pages. Ask it what happens when it does not know an answer, or how it passes a customer to a person.
01
Answers from what you have already written
Your hours, prices, policies, and FAQs are already on your website. AnswerKit answers from them and links to the page it used. When your site does not cover a question, it says so instead of making something up.
Hours and location
We are open Tuesday to Saturday, 9am to 6pm, and until 8pm on Thursdays.

Gets you when it matters
Money, complaints, special requests, or anything it is not sure about: AnswerKit offers to pass the conversation to you. With the customer's permission, you get their email and a short summary, so you can reply without asking them to start over.

- A birthday party
- Summary
- Wants a Saturday afternoon in May for 12 kids and asked what the party package includes.

Shows you what customers keep asking
Questions it could not answer are collected and counted, even when people word them differently. Add the answer to your website, and the list gets shorter.
| Question | Asked |
|---|---|
| Is there parking nearby? | 14 |
| Do you take walk-ins? | 9 |
| Can I bring my kids along? | 6 |
04
Everyone knows who has it
Each conversation and callback goes to the right person on your team, by topic, and to someone else when they are off. They get an email, or a short text, that something is waiting, never the customer's details. Snooze, macros, and a six-second undo keep a busy inbox moving. Add the things only you know, like "free trial classes are Tuesday and Thursday mornings", and they win over your website. If your website ever says otherwise, you are asked which is right.

Give it your website
Enter your website address. AnswerKit reads your pages, and when you update your site, one click brings it up to date.
-
Add the chat to your site
Paste one line, or send it to whoever looks after your website. It works with most site builders that allow custom code, and it picks up your logo and colours.
-
See what people asked
Check the questions it could not answer, add those answers to your site, and it will know them next time.
Texts and phone calls
You stay in charge
AnswerKit answers only from your own website, and links to the page every time. It cannot book appointments, give discounts, or issue refunds. Those go to you.
It also answers text messages and phone calls the same way, all kept in one place, and on a phone call it can read out open appointment times from your calendar. It quotes times and never books them: a team member confirms. Until you trust it, replies can wait for your OK before they go out, and a page shows how often you changed them so you know when to let a channel go on its own. Start from a template for a salon, childcare, clinic, or restaurant.
